For those who believe that they are exempt from the rules here in the DarkNetwork, simply because you have been here since the beginning, because you are a Sire, Premium Member, Lifetime Member, Acolyte, Sentoran, Procurator, Dominar, or Master of a Coven.....you aren't.

For those who believe that the Sentorans, should send a message to every single one of the coding and nudity violations, we find on the 20,500 profiles, portfolios and journals that we view....we won't.

Per our guidelines, the suspension is the warning.

Simply put. There is ample documentation of what is allowed and what is not, in the VR Manual and the Terms of Service. If in doubt, check my profile, under my "Sentoran Duties" section. I post the links for where our rules come from and the most common reasons that the Sentorans suspend.

Complaining that we should send you a message, instead of suspending, doesn't work. For us, it would be futile. Keeping track of who we sent messages too, to go back and check to see if they fixed it, if not, sending another message and finding out that we have benn blocked. (Trust me, I have tried the nice guy route.)

Easier to just suspend your profile, port or journal from being seen....and get your attention that way.

BTW, for those that say, we don't tell you, you are suspended. We do. When you log into the DarkNetwork, the first screen, gives you a listing of who suspended you, when they suspended you and why you are suspended. We generally include, what you need to do, to get unsuspended and who to contact to get your suspension removed. This screen is generally ignored, so its understandable, that you didn't see it.

I'm not saying this to be mean, to be arrogant, or full of myself. I'm stating this, for people to know and understand. Sentorans are doing their job, as stipulated, by Cancer's guidelines. I'm simply attempting to get people to understand, we are doing a job on here, that we volunteer for.

I remember when my portfolio was suspended it told me when I logged in what was going on.

Well I have had my pro and journal suspended at different times...Ummm, the journal by you lol and it wasn't a problem on both counts...I messaged you and you told me what the violation was, I then fixed it, you unsuspended me I think..or was it silverbow.....

You sorted the background for my profile because of our interaction, anyway, you guys are cool in my eyes :)

First and foremost. I have put the Guardians of Darkness together to help protect the Teens from predators and give them someone who will listen to them. You have to understand one thing...

These kids are kids. They are going to experiment, they are going to test things out, they are going to be curious. They also, might listen to your advice, but nothing says that they are going to follow it. Kids make decisions with their emotions and simply sometimes they have to learn the hard way. Its part of life. Its part of learning.

I understand this, I can't and won't attempt to control these kids. That is not my job. My job is to be someone they can come to, to ask a question, to get advice. Its up to them to come to me, to make the decision to take the advice or ignore it.

Secondly, I have several friends on here that are Masters and Mistresses. I have been involved in the lifestyle, when my husband choose to use the "lifestyle", as a reason to beat me. I invested alot of time, to learn about the real lifestyle, just to understand, the ins and outs of a true Master/Mistress. I don't judge against someone that is active in the lifestyle. What I learned, is that it is a lifestyle with boundries and based on respect.

One of those boundries, has to do with teens. The fact that the real life Masters and Mistresses that I have met, state that it is forbidden to take a teen as a slave. That the basis of a submissive or slave, is that they have enough knowledge, to make an informed decision, of what they are getting into. Teens don't have that background. They are just learning about flirting, boys/girls, sex and the hormones running through their body. Taking a teen as a slave, frowned upon and generally disallowed by the community.

So, what do you call someone that has used this ploy, to get himself teen slaves?? A Poser, A predator?

I have faced this within my coven walls, finding out several members have Masters, even with all my warnings.

I have strived to teach the members of my coven, their self worth, to give them some self esteem and acceptance in a world that doesn't understand them. I strive to warn them of all the dangers that can befall them on the internet and give them tools on how to keep them safe.

But I don't have the ability, to make the correct decisions for them, that comes with time and they need to learn. I don't have the armor, to keep them from being hurt. I don't have the lie detector, to help them see someone using them, lying to them. I can only provide a open relationship, someone that is willing to listen, no matter what happens, they need to know that they will be accepted and loved for who they are. Its part of growing up.

But I admit, I am scared for them but there is nothing I can do, other than be there for them.

To my coven: I am here for you, please believe me.

I also believe it's the responsibility of every adult on this site to behave in an appropriate manner when approached by a teen, and that every parent should give the same positive message if they are approached.

Using the Lifestyle is just another excuse for grooming and manipulation where a youngster just needs attention.

It raises the question of the age factor on this site again!

i want to start out by saying that i really appreciate you and your Husband for all the two of you do for the kids and the site. as a parent of one of your members i fear for them all to. i wish i could be with my son every minute and make his decisions but i know he does not always listen and if he does, he still makes his own decisions.

i was one of those teens and it has been very difficult for me to recover. there were so many other things that i was dealing with at the time and had the man who first introduced me to the understanding of BDSM not taken me maybe i would have worked through the other issues differently. my concerns do not extend only to minors but to the young men and women 18-early 20's. they need a chance to have their own lives and experience things before submitting themselves to someone else.

if i can ever help out in any way believe me i would love to.

Personally I do think and feel strongly that each coven that allows an underage member to be inducted makes all the adults in that coven partially responsible to do many of the things you do at G.O.D.

I do not believe as I have been told, that it is ‘molly cuddling’ them, nor do I feel threads that have been set up in a coven should be deleted and only remade on a case by case situation. I STRONGLY feel such threads should be a permanent fixture not for only the younger sect but for us adults to help aid in that responsibility we have been entrusted, just by allowing them to be there in the first place, and it doesn’t matter if there is one or multiple young members, no matter the head count there should be a place to post such information as a warning to them to stay away and have no contact with a known predator…

Helping to guide some of these kids in ways for them to succeed and helping them to keep them safe from such predators, you do not take away the very tools needed to achieve that goal, not even temporarily.

I am a mom of grown kids, I am also into the BDSM lifestyle. My grown children do know of my personal choices, but they were NEVER exposed to it while they were underage. No self respecting Dom would even toy with such a notion as to target a minor. Those that do are not what they claim to be.

There were a few more things I wanted to add to my reply, but forgot too and I also didn’t want to make my reply so long that it might as well be a journal entry on it’s own…but, I’m sorry, I guess I had more to say and can’t seem to just keep it to myself.

First of all, what about those who do disagree that our younger people on here should not be allowed? Once they reach a point of having their own coven should they stand by their convictions and forbid under the age of 18 admittance to their covens? Or should they go ahead and allow them knowing that they are against them even being allowed on this site at all? Personally, I think if one holds such views then they need to make their covens 18 and over only. I think having the G.O.D for the younger sect is WONDERFUL! And needed! My biggest hope is to see a few more covens set up for the exact same purpose which would also allow the kids to have a more of a choice, just like adults do.

Next problem I see way too much of on here, is again, people who don’t believe the underage kids should be allowed here to begin with expecting children to act and behave and even show an intellect older than their chronological ages. They try to justify this by saying things like, “Well, if they are going to be members here then they better grow up and grow a thicker skin, because they are playing around in an adult environment.” I guess I could agree to that if this site had adult based themes. But how many adult profiles have I seen where they state their own interest in “VAMPIRES” started when they were children themselves? What makes learning about “VAMPIRES” an adult only subject?

My own personal beliefs? For the most part I do not agree with setting the age so low at 13 and older, but hey, this isn’t my site so it’s a moot point. I happen to think though just because I do believe the age should be set a little higher it doesn’t give me or anyone else the right to treat kids with disrespect and abuse them verbally…or otherwise for that matter. I tend to go by the belief that if my kids were still underage, how would I want my underage “child” to be treated?

I think that whenever you allow adults and kids to interact and co-exist on social networks such as this, myspace, facebook etc, you will always find the jerks and dregs of society using the younger sect as prey. It doesn’t make it right even though we all know to expect it, because let’s face it, the entire world, in every country, culture, region…etc, has some warped psycho who thinks it’s perfectly ok to target a “child”.

You're not alone... I remember getting into my car for work starting it and forgetting how to put it in gear to drive away. For the life of me I sat there for 10 minutes perplexed as to why my car wouldn't go into drive. lol It was then I realized I had to push the brake pedal to free up the shifter. lol

I swear that it was at that moment those brain-cells of mine which held the info to do that particular thing went poof and so I forgot that. I had to relearn the task, but now I wonder, what other things have I forgotten because brain-cells go poof. :)
